The program that offers MORE
PRACTICE
Students are encouraged and the department is supportive of extracurricular activities both in civil society organizations and in professional internships. The study program offers ECTS credit compensation for internships and provides students with contact assistance, recommendations, and guidance support.
SPECIALIZATION
Whether for following graduate programs or direct employment, the program offers a wide selection of optional courses allowing students to already specialize in their bachelor studies. The ratio of compulsory to optional courses necessary to reach the degree is less than 1:1, meaning you truly get to choose your own path.
COMMUNITY LIFE
The program accommodates and encourages an active student life. You build your weekly schedule and should feel empowered to pursue more languages, sports, student clubs, volunteering, internships, or work. We hold social events regularly to make sure word gets around about the best opportunities.
BRANCH OUT
If specialization in our optional courses is not enough, feel free to branch out and try courses beyond it. From journalism, to law, to forensics, environmental studies, or IT, and much more. Students may enroll in optional courses across the university, broaden their horizons, and even earn up to 10 program credits while doing so.
INTERACTIVE
The university offers all state-of-the-art equipped lecture halls and an Information system that allows students and staff to minimize administration and maximize interactivity. You can get anything done through the IS. From finding a flatmate, responding to lecturer feedback, reading class materials, to... anything.
TRANSFERABLE SKILLS
The program puts great emphasis on what employers ask for the most - development of critical thinking, writing, argumentation, communication and presentation skills, and of course - expert knowledge. Alumni thus find employment in a broad number of professions with very high placement rates (2018 - over 92%).
TUITION
Your tuition is comprehensive and includes all the benefits a public university offers. That includes course materials, unlimited credit enrollment, university-wide access to facilities, subsidized food in university cafeterias, and more. Apart from your living expenses, that's it.
AT THE HEART OF EUROPE
You can take advantage of Masaryk University’s central location close to world renowned cities such as Vienna, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Krakow, or Berlin. All these cities are close enough to reach by train or coach with excellent connections for visits or indeed internships. The faculty itself resides in the very center of the city.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORT
Students can rely on outstanding support from advisers, administrative, and academic staff with an individual approach to each of them. Study advisers are ready to guide students through their studies and meet their needs whenever possible. Students get a say in running the program through multiple formal and informal channels.
